As we approach May 2, our staff is busy attending programs both on campus and around the country for our newly admitted students. Last week I visited California and Virginia to attend several Admitted Student Receptions. It was a wonderful opportunity for our newly admitted students in those areas to meet each other and to hear the experiences of our students and alumni. I always enjoy the opportunity to meet new students and their parents and to have the chance to talk more about why I believe Northeastern is the best place to gain an education that will lead to successful outcomes.
This is a very exciting time of year for our community! Some students are beginning to prepare for finals and of course our seniors have their attention focused on completing their studies in time for graduation! Last week students took a break from studying to enjoy the annual Spring Fest celebration with a carnival in Centennial Commons, complete with inflatable games and giveaways, followed by a concert in Matthews Area. This year’s performers are Wiz Khalifa, Third Eye Blind, Taking Back Sunday, and Mac Miller. It’s a great way for students to get outside and enjoy the campus and friends.
Until next time…
